Saturn goes Direct – the Final Act

Saturn goes direct on September 29th, 2020. This is the “final act” of Saturn’s transit in Capricorn.

Since Saturn entered Capricorn back in December 2017 we’ve been pretty much living in a Matrix movie.

Saturn rules Capricorn, so he feels at home in this sign. Capricorn is the sign of the “Institution” – the sign of rules, authority, politics, multinationals, army, societies, and everything that is rolled out from the top-down.

Saturn has not been alone in Capricorn – he has shared the sign with Pluto. Saturn and Pluto have a lot in common. They are both heavy, serious, restrictive, and let’s face it… tough.

Both Saturn and Pluto will push us to “grow up” – in different ways, as follows:

  • Saturn, by asking us to follow rules, take care of ourselves, and become self-sufficient
  • Pluto, by taking away our sense of safety and comfort – so that we can build resilience and true personal power

What happens when you combine Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn?

2020 happens.

Saturn And Pluto In Capricorn – Resilience

Indeed, on January 12th, 2020 Saturn and Pluto met in Capricorn, bringing us a pandemic, lockdown, political crises all over the world, and everything else that followed from there.

2020 has tested us again and again – because that’s exactly what Saturn and Pluto’s purpose is – to test us so that we can become resilient.

Just like the famous saying “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger” – when we develop resilience, we are much more likely to withstand possible difficulties in the future. Saturn and Pluto help us not only survive, but also thrive in a crisis.

Right now, Saturn and Pluto are less than 3 degrees away from each other, so we may relive some of the heavy themes from early this year. The good news is that this is as close as Saturn and Pluto will get to each other… at least for 30 years from now. From September 29th forward, they will finally part ways. A chapter in history comes to an end.

And while, for many of us, life is still tough right now, rest assured that in soon we will finally reap the hidden rewards behind Saturn’s difficulties.

In astrology, Saturn is called “The Great Teacher” for a reason: no other planet can teach us so much about life than Saturn does. And no other planet can reward us the way Saturn does.

Mars Square Saturn – Caught Between A Rock And A Hard Place

Saturn is stationary direct already since September 25th, however Saturn finally goes direct on September 29th at 25° Capricorn.

Exactly on September 29th, Mars Retrograde in Aries applies a square to Saturn.

This is a frustrating and exhausting aspect, since both planets move very very slowly at the moment and the tension lasts much longer than it would otherwise. With Mars screaming “Move!” and Saturn “Stop!”, you may feel caught between a rock and a hard place.

Mars square Saturn will test you, but it will also help you understand yourself at a deeper level. Mars square Saturn will help you get in touch with your real drives and motivations, as well as with your limitations and obstacles – real or imaginary – that have stopped you from moving forward in your life.

Thanks to the Mars-Saturn square, you may finally understand what is not working in your life, and WHY it is not working. But most importantly, you may finally become aware of what you TRULY want – and when you gain that crystal clarity, everything else will become easy.

To make things happen, you need both Mars and Saturn. Mars needs Saturn’s thoroughness and the ability to do the work. And while Saturn might not give it to you as quickly as you want it, Saturn will show you how to actually get it done – so that your project, or whatever it is that you’re doing will not need further tweaks and fixing.

With Mars square Saturn, what you’ll get at the end of the effort is quality.

Saturn Direct In Capricorn – The Final Act

Coming back to Saturn in Capricorn.

Saturn’s direct movement in the last segment of Capricorn is a crucial time of the year.

Saturn finally leaves Capricorn on December 17th, 2020 (after almost 3 years), so Saturn has less than 2 months to finish all the projects he has started since December 2017. We too have less than 2 months left to fulfill our “Saturn in Capricorn” mission.

Again, expect pressure and frustration, since Mars is retrograde until November 14th. But also expect deep insights and revelations into your true desires and motivations.

Chances are, you already know what that topic that needs your attention is. For further clues, look at the house ruled by Capricorn in your chart.

Saturn’s transits are not very pleasant, but they are necessary. They point to the work we MUST do no matter what.

If you don’t finish the Saturn work in the next couple of months, things will only get tougher when Saturn moves in Aquarius. If you finish your Saturn work, you will be rewarded.
